SHARE YOUR VOICE: TAKE SURVEY TO HELP GUIDE FUTURE OF HAYNESVILLE
The Town of Haynesville is looking for community members who would be willing to share 10 to 15 minutes of their time to participate in a survey that will help guide the town’s future.
HAYNESVILLE, La. (Nov. 26, 2025) – The Town of Haynesville is looking for community members who would be willing to share 10 to 15 minutes of their time to participate in a survey that will help guide the town’s future.
The Haynesville Community Survey can be accessed at
rootedinhaynesville.com/engage. Each question on the survey helps ensure that Haynesville’s new strategic plan truly reflects the community's voices.
In the summer of 2025, the Town of Haynesville was awarded a grant from the Delta Regional Authority specifically for strategic planning. As part of that initiative, the Town
of Haynesville is partnering with Atlas Community Studios to develop a strategic plan focused on public infrastructure, small business, workforce development and housing.
The Haynesville Strategic Plan: Rooted in Community, Growing Together will guide future decisions, investments and priorities for years to come.
The strategic plan project is being led by Steering Committee members Mayor Roderick Hampton, Tinique Beene, April Childress, Yolanda Coleman, Mershell Kinsby, Alyson McCoy, Lynn McCoy, Mary McDaniel, Betty Richardson, Amanda Sanders, Margaret White and Seth Winn.
“A strategic plan can help Haynesville get intentional about what to tackle first and how to make the most of limited resources, but it only works if the people who live here help
shape it,” said Kate Greene, Redevelopment Director for Atlas Community Studios.
“Input from community members will ensure we build a roadmap for addressing the everyday issues that residents care most about—things like road conditions, housing, jobs and business growth. And because the work is funded through a grant, it’s a no-cost way for the community to dream and plan for the future.”
The overall Strategic Plan project will take place over the following timeline:
Public Engagement: October–December 2025
Community Assessment: November 2025–March 2026
Strategic Plan: March–May 2026
Funding Resource Roadmap: May–July 2026
